PHOTO REJUVENATIONPHOTO REJUVENATION“I have been a long time cynic of many of these facial rejuvenation treatments, thinking that they were overpriced and did not deliver on the 'hype' associated with such treatments. I had been using a variety of expensive moisturising creams for over 20 years, but while my skin remained 'moisturised', the wrinkles around the eyes and mouth were winning the war no matter how much I moisturised. It wasn't until a work colleague who I had not seen for approx 4 yrs noticed how much I had aged in the face, that I decided it was time to launch war and stop the dreaded 'ageing process' (at the age of 42). My therapist (Yvette) had been suggesting for a while that I try the 'Photo-facial' IPL treatment, stating that it would improve my facial skin which unfortunately had been sun damaged from years of living outdoors with nothing but merely a scrap of zinc from time to time.I paid for 6 treatments and undertook these over approx 3-4 mth period. From treatment number 3, I started to notice the remarkable improvement in my skin; decrease in lines around mouth and eyes, increased plumpness and reduction in discolouration on my face. I could not believe the results, nor could my family and friends. And it just got better with every treatment. The improvements have not stopped. After the first treatment you get immediate results as your hair starts to only come back in patches. I had my legs, underarms and bikini done and I would recommend it to anyone. The pulses are quick and feel like little hot pings against the skin but they are over before you register it and is much easier than waxing (with perm results)! You can feel some parts more than others but Yvette was usually on hand to divert with singing or talking and of course the cooling wand. I have to say that the process is much better than waxing as you basically see less and less hair and you can shave in between if you want to. I didn’t have any prickly re-growth and my legs always felt smooth. I am not sure why I didn’t have it sooner as it is much easier and maintenance is now pretty minimal – which suits me”.
